I started this Ranunculus sweater when I totally didn’t need another WIP on the needles. When I’m stressing out I procrastinate on things like a reckless cast on. Partly because I barely have any actual work time - very busy husband, max of 8 hours of childcare (during which time, I usually have to nurse the baby), driving the kids to activities... I’m guessing being overwhelmed with growing a business, raising kids, and maintaining a household isn’t unique to me, but some days it feels literally impossible. I’ve got about a month left until the Autumn Fiber Festival in Ashland, OH which will be my first time vending anything. I’m hoping to make it great, so just know that I’m here working my ass off between now and then!

🖤 I’m totally feeling the spooky colorways already despite it technically still being summer. Full disclosure, I dyed these three skeins of “Nobody” on accident because I apparently can’t remember the names of my own colors 🙃. Happy Tuesday! I’ve got another pair of gift socks under my belt (and another half pair, but let’s not talk about the second watermelon sock 🙄), my @boneandbirch June Club socks are looking more like socks and less like CatDog, and I’ve been longingly staring at the pile of yarn destined to become the coziest headbands I’ve ever worn ❤️. I’m working on a different kind of WIP today! I’m making a #redwoodtote for myself after my cat decided to make a certain liquid deposit on/in the purse I’d thought I would have for 25 years 😖. I love single ply, and I know I can’t be the only one! It’s definitely my go-to for shawls, and I want a drapey garment in it next. I’m thinking a #boxysweater... but which color?! A little update on what I’m actively working on! I’ve finished the body of my #purecomfortcardigan in @fuzzzygreenfibers BFL DK in Tempest and am now picking up (a million) stitches for the squishy fisherman’s rib collar. I have finished Christmas Socks pairs 15 & 16. And I did an impulse cast on Thursday of a pair of How I Roll socks by @orangeknits made with a set of Game of Thrones minis by @destinationyarn! I don’t usually knit for myself in superwash/nylon-containing yarn, but I allow myself the occasional sock indulgence because there are so many amazing dyers out there (and who’s not shocked I couldn’t resist GoT minis in sparkly yarn?).
